Windows 10 for phone technical preview to expand supported devices

When Microsoft launched the technical preview for their line of smart phones, I think we were all surprised by the lack of supported models. None of the high end “flagship” models were included, like the Lumia 1520 or the Lumia Icon. In fact only six devices were supported:

  1. Lumia 630
  2. Lumia 635
  3. Lumia 636
  4. Lumia 638
  5. Lumia 730
  6. Lumia 830

Well, although Microsoft hasn’t told us when the next build will be avaliable, they did release an expanded list of 36 devices to be included:

  1. Lumia 1020
  2. Lumia 1320
  3. Lumia 1520
  4. Lumia 520
  5. Lumia 525
  6. Lumia 526
  7. Lumia 530
  8. Lumia 530 Dual Sim
  9. Lumia 535
  10. Lumia 620
  11. Lumia 625
  12. Lumia 630
  13. Lumia 630 Dual Sim
  14. Lumia 635
  15. Lumia 636
  16. Lumia 638
  17. Lumia 720
  18. Lumia 730
  19. Lumia 730 Dual SIM
  20. Lumia 735
  21. Lumia 810
  22. Lumia 820
  23. Lumia 822
  24. Lumia 830
  25. Lumia 920
  26. Lumia 925
  27. Lumia 928
  28. Lumia ICON
  29. Microsoft Lumia 430
  30. Microsoft Lumia 435
  31. Microsoft Lumia 435 Dual SIM
  32. Microsoft Lumia 435 Dual SIM DTV
  33. Microsoft Lumia 532
  34. Microsoft Lumia 532 Dual SIM
  35. Microsoft Lumia 640 Dual SIM
  36. Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM

As you can see, there are going to be quite a bit more supported devices. Now they are all part of the Lumia family, but if you have a non-Lumia phone, fear not. Microsoft has also told us they plan on adding other types of Windows phones to the mix, but no ETA on that yet. I will have more on Windows 10 for phone after it releases for my model.
