Windows 10 release “set for July”

According to the earnings call for AMD Windows 10 is set for a late July release. This is on par with what Microsoft told us (a summer release) and a great move, with it being back to school season.

The CEO Linda Su had this to say: “With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up.”

This of course is not an official statement with Microsoft, and should be treated as such. It is however nice to have a tentative timeframe to look forward to.

I personally thinkWindows 10 will go a long way to salvage  Microsoft’s reputation after how Windows 8 did. If you wonder what 10 has in store for us Check out my article on some of the new features.
