Google is opening its 12th retail store, and Houston is next.

Google Store Houston Galleria opens Friday, November 6, 2026. It will be Google's 11th store in the US and its 12th worldwide, following San Diego and Tokyo earlier in 2026.

Where it is, and when it is open

The new store is inside The Galleria, which Simon describes as Texas' largest shopping destination. The address is:

5085 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77056

Store hours are:

  • Monday to Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Since opening day is a Friday, the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on November 6, based on that regular Friday schedule.

What you can do there

Google Stores are more than a place to buy a phone. The Houston location will sell Pixel phones, watches, headphones, and smart home devices, including security cameras. For people in the area, it also offers:

  • Store pickup for online orders
  • On-site phone repairs, with repair appointments available
  • Support from Google staff in person
  • Shopping and setup appointments
  • In-store events

That last part matters. Buying a Pixel online is easy, but trying the camera, comparing watch sizes, testing headphones, or getting a cracked screen fixed without shipping your phone away is a different experience. A physical store also gives Google a place to show off its full hardware lineup together, from phones and watches to Nest cameras and other smart home gear.

Houston is Texas' second Google Store

Houston will be Texas' second Google Store, after Austin's Domain Northside location opened in 2025.

Here is how Google's retail footprint now stacks up:

  • New York: Chelsea (2021), Williamsburg (2022)
  • California: Mountain View (2023), Santa Monica (2025), Fashion Valley in San Diego (2026)
  • Massachusetts: Newbury Street in Boston (2024)
  • Illinois: Oakbrook (2024)
  • Texas: Domain Northside in Austin (2025), Houston Galleria (2026)
  • Florida: Aventura (2025)
  • Washington, DC: Georgetown (2025)
  • Japan: Tokyo (2026)

That is 11 US locations and one international location, for 12 total.

Why this one is worth noting

Google's retail strategy has been slow and deliberate. It opened its first store in Chelsea in 2021, and five years later it has just 12 stores worldwide. That is a tiny footprint compared to Apple, which has hundreds of stores, but Google has never tried to match Apple store for store.

Instead, Google has picked high traffic shopping destinations, like The Galleria in Houston, and used them as hands-on showcases and local support hubs. Houston fits that pattern perfectly. It is one of the largest cities in the US, it already has a major shopping destination in The Galleria, and until now, Texas only had one Google Store, in Austin.

For Houstonians who use Pixel phones, Pixel Watches, Pixel Buds, or Nest devices, the practical benefit is simple: you no longer have to drive to Austin, order everything online sight unseen, or mail in a phone for repair. You can walk into The Galleria, try the hardware, pick up an online order, or book a repair appointment.

Bottom line

Google Store Houston Galleria opens Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5085 Westheimer Rd in Houston. It is Google's 12th store globally, its 11th in the US, and its second in Texas.

If you are in Houston and you have been curious about Pixel hardware, or you just need a repair or some hands-on help, this is now your local option. Just check the hours before you go: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
